Helping Freight forwarders achieve more

The Challenge

Freightbro aimed at solving problems faced by traditional freight forwarders, ranging from complicated rate distribution, long delays in quote generation, complicated documentation among many others. With a view of eradicating the traditional manual methods of operation, onboarding users to a digital platform conveniently was the challenge in hand.

Our Solution

With a goal of simplifying the otherwise complex freight forwarding experience, we came up with a solution that enabled real time visibility, comparison of rates, quick quote generation and other such features to be represented in an aesthetic, yet concise and functional manner which further enabled the freight forwarder to make quick and more precise decisions.

OUR PROCESS

The UX design activity comprised of intensive back and forth sessions with the shareholders to exchange ideas. These ideas were then put to paper through digital wireframes which helped us group large amounts of complicated data efficiently.
The UX phase involved simplifying and restructuring the 5 steps for a Freight Forwarder - Search, Quote, Book, Track, Manage.

The primary colours Orange and Dark Blue were used across the interface to portray a sense of creativity, determination and power, integrity respectively.
With data grouped and segregated into cards, large chunks of information from shipment details to live tracking were represented with the goal of reducing cognitive load on the user.

Typography

Lato

Lato was the choice of font for this project. The typeface seems quite transparent when used in body text but displays some original traits when used in larger sizes. The semi-rounded details of the letters give Lato a feeling of warmth, while the strong structure provides stability and seriousness, similar to the brand in picture.
